Engineering- A Choice of Career?

Happy to see you here!

Below are guidelines for choosing a career especially, engineering. No matter where you stand now, there is always a route, you can find from your current location to the destination. Hope this blog will guide you in that.

You came here as you’re moved by the title and probably you're an engineer or uses engineering. You are one among 7.6 Billion People using engineering (That’s the total population of world!).
Yes! Everyone in this world applies engineering in their work. No matter you’re a surgeon or an attorney. The advanced Medicare equipment and robust secure documentation methods are all developed by engineers.
To all the young minds,
Are you in dilemma, whether or not to choose engineering as your career?
You can definitely choose if you’re very passionate about making something.
Else, you can just use what we have already made for you!
Engineering is all about what you make, and not about what you fill in 42 pages.
You’ve already filled thousands and even millions of pages starting from your kinder garden. Doing that again cannot make you an engineer.
There are things that you need to be clear about before choosing your career.
“Think before you choose”
What are your interests and what is your passion?
Are you curious about knowing something new?
Are you dying to make your own invention?
Do you want to differentiate yourself from others in your career?
If your answers are yes and relate to engineering, you can choose engineering as your career.
Once you are into engineering, you have to make a choice again on where particularly you are interested.
This will decide what you will be called tomorrow. But, it sometimes matters less because all branches of engineering  are inter-related and one cannot survive without other. Yet, knowing your niche can definitely fetch you more success in your career. So make this choice wisely by analyzing your interests and passion.
Your passion is all that matters. It chooses every aspect of your life. Once you know that, you can shine!

All these shown above are unique but connected with each other through the common gateway, Engineering. One cannot function without the help of other.
For any field, if you’re very passionate and want to make something for the world or for yourself in that field, you can choose that as your career. It applies for any profession. Do not choose a thing that you don’t love or cannot love.
Of course, you can have many choices even after your graduation, but all the time you’ve spent on a thing, that you will never use again is like throwing your wealth(time) knowingly into garbage. Never do that.
For those who’re already into their career, start gathering more and more stuff in your niche. Keep a part of your brain saturated with thoughts about your passion.
Keep your brain active. Try something new everyday. Be updated. Know what your peers are doing. Collaborate with them to achieve more.
This can help you grow in your career.
Your time is your precious possession. Spend it on something that can give you back more than you have spent. Do not throw it for nothing.
Choosing engineering is not a mistake. But to be successful in this career, passion is desperately needed.
I don’t accept the myth that engineering needs a degree. It needs passion. Degree is secondary and indeed not required. Many tech experts today, don’t actually own an engineering degree. Many who own, not even know what engineering means.
If you choose this as your career, make it your passion. If you cannot, go ahead with other fields and stop blaming engineering.
